The Housing Authority of the City of Spencer (HACS) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals. To apply, visit the HACS to pick up an application, located at 601 Market St. # 1, Spencer, WV 25276, from 9:00 am until 11:30 am, Monday-Friday. Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above, from 9:00 am until 11:30 am, Monday-Friday. Be sure to include these documents with your application: birth certificates, Social Security cards, proof of income, child support documentation, and photo IDs for all adult household members. The HACS does not have a preference. Qualified applicants will be placed by date and time the application is received. For more information, the HACS can be reached by calling (304) 927-4181, from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm, Monday-Friday. The Housing Authority operates three apartment complexes with their own waiting lists.
